Dr Annie Waring is a Clinical Psychologist with almost 20 years’ experience. During this time she has worked in the NHS and private practice and has treated adults presenting with a wide range of different problems including depression and anxiety. Her work draws on a range of different models and influences, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic ideas. Her biggest influence is a therapy called Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) which is an effective treatment for depression and has also been shown to help anxiety. She is an IPT-accredited practitioner and supervisor. Dr Waring has also had extensive experience of setting up and running brief therapy groups and workshops in the NHS on topics such as managing depression and anxiety, coping with stress and overcoming low self-esteem.
