Dr Johnson is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her training in 2015 at Canterbury Christ Church University. Specialist areas of her practice include helping to build coping strategies for stress management and resilience, psychological techniques to enhance cognitive performance, and the role of physical health in maintaining good mental health. In her NHS position Dr Johnson specialises in working with older people and their family members, using systemic approaches to assist families in managing issues that can arise in later life. Her favoured therapeutic approaches are Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Dr Johnson prefers to use approaches that are positive and proactive, with a focus on strengths and resources.
