Dr Marigold Hayes trained at Royal Holloway, University of London and has been practising as a qualified clinical psychologist in the NHS since 2005. She has worked across the breadth of adult mental health services, and currently specialises in working with people given a diagnosis of psychosis or bipolar affective disorder. She is able to work with many common mental health issues including stress, anxiety and depression, alongside more enduring difficulties relating to the impact of early life trauma, severe mood fluctuations, anomalous experiences and interpersonal struggles. She is able to work with individuals, couples and families, and has experience of running therapeutic groups. Dr Hayes has particular interest in working with teams and empowering people to feel more able to manage their difficulties through improving self-esteem and self-agency. She is also able to offer supervision and consultation. Her main approach is cognitive behavioural therapy, though she also draws on psychodynamic ideas and these influence her therapeutic style.
